A change of pace this year! I'm headed north. With alot of exciting things happening during the spring at home I have made the decision to sit out the BASS Southern Opens and fish the Northern Opens. It doesn't mean I won't compete-- The Stren Series, The CATT Classic and numerous other large events will call Santee-Cooper home this year! See ya there!

The New Year!
2011 is in the books and it was a good one! On the guiding side clients had personal bests, learned some things and we all had a blast. Though I will only be taking limited trips this year, I look foward to a great season. The lakes are on the rise-- the higher the better for a good spawn!
The competitive end was great as well- Santee offered up 4 wins and 2 season championships. A successful year by anyones standards. 2012 offers up some good opportunities- The Stren series, the C.A.T.T Classic, and the new Carolina's Bass Challenge all pay a visit. I look forward to competition!
To this point, winter has not arrived and if the trend holds spring will be extra early. Last year the big bite started in early Feb. and I see no reason why that won't repeat.
I will only be taking out a limited number of trips this year-- and on a limited schedule. Some dates are blacked out so call early for your times!!

THE FALL BITE IS ON-
I've been on the water 5 times in the last two weeks and all I can say the bite is as good as I have seen it in some time. I haven't thrown much that didn't work. Water levels are limiting where we can fish, but its also limiting where the bass can hide. Every day has been a little bit different, sometimes the morning is better-- sometimes during the day, but bite they have! I will be attending a BASS Weekend Series regional event in Alabama untiI the 8th but will be back at it soon as I get back. I'm currently booking trips for the 2nd and 3rd weeks of October so if you want your shot at a lunker drop me a line! The cell phone will be on!

Very little offers more satisfaction guiding than to see the smiles of a happy client-- Nothing makes them happier than when they catch a personal best! Mark caught his biggest bass and best limit! Congrats!!
